“No-Nightshade” Spicy Italian Sausage Seasoning
Mix these directly into your 20 oz of ground pork before browning it.
- 1 tsp Fennel seeds (Crucial—toast them in a dry pan for 1 min and lightly crush them for maximum flavor)
- 1 tsp Freshly cracked black pepper (This provides the “heat” safely)
- 1 tsp Kosher salt
- 1 tsp Garlic powder (or 2 minced fresh cloves)
- 1/2 tsp Onion powder
- 1 tsp Dried Oregano
- 1/4 tsp White pepper (Optional: adds a sharper, different kind of heat than black pepper)
- 1 tbsp White wine or apple cider vinegar (Added while cooking to deglaze and add “bite”)
